Are you an aspiring actor/actress? Would you like to break into the movie industry and just need that first gentle push to get you started? Looking for more exposure? Want to see your face on BET? Well look no further!
Straight, No Chaser Productions, a Washington, DC-based writing collective and film production company, has recently won the 2nd Annual Rap-It-Up/Black AIDS Short Subject Film Competition for their screenplay, "Multitude of Mercies". This innovative screenplay depicts the story of a young Black minister and the struggles he faces while dealing with HIV/AIDS in his church. This film is set to air on BET on or around World AIDS Day.
Straight, No Chaser Productions in association with Big Belly Productions will begin filming for this project in early October and we are seeking actors, actresses, and singers who are not only willing to work under high-pressure time constraints, but are also committed to making positive changes within their community.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Tim Ross (LEAD ROLE): MUST be available to film for ten straight days of shooting (times will be unpredictable) . African American Male (late 20's to mid 30's). Thin to medium physique, attractive and 5'9" or taller.
Pastor Bernard: African American Male (late 40’s) Thick physique, 5'9" or taller with a conservative, but stylish appearance.
Simone Bernard: African American Female (late 30's to mid 40's). Average physique, moderately attractive with a stately appearance. 5'6" or taller.
Jordan Shepherd: MUST be able to sing ACCAPELLA GOSPEL in order to get this role. African American female (mid to late 20's), average/thin physique, very attractive, 5'7" or under.
Roger Purell: African American Male (in his 20's), thick physique, soft presence.
Jabari Allen: MUST have some level of basketball skill for this role. African American male (18-20 years old, but can pass for 16 years of age), attractive, 5'9" or taller, thin/muscular physique. Also must have an urban/edgy yet charming look.
Denise Hayes: African American Female (late 20's to early 30's), average physique, 5'5" to 5'7" in height.
Sisters Tisdale and Conley: 2 African American Females (late 50's to mid 60's)
Brother Jenkins: African American Male (mid to late 60's), large physique, preferably graying hair.
Michael Patrick: African American Male (in his 30's), slender and attractive. Very sharp dresser.
Church Choir: We are looking for an existing choir (with their own robes) to double as the church choir for this film. Choir will be required to sing "This Little Light of Mine" and will sing backup for Jordan Shepherd on a song to be determined.
